Chancel floor tiles. The church stands on clay, leading to movement and dampness. The nave and aisle floors became unsafe and were refloored in 1897. In the 1960s a concrete floor with thermoplastic tiles was laid. But this forced any dampness in the ground to rise up the walls and pillars. In 2005 the concrete was taken up and a new Clipsham stone floor was laid. The chancel floor was restored in recent years with Victorian tiles from the nave. (Photo Apr 2008).
