II
Inn. Early-mid C17, extended late C17-early C18, C19 stable.
Limestone rubble; stone slate roof; brick stack. Rectangular
plan with small extension at right angles to rear; single bay late
C17-early C18 extension to the right gable end; former stable (now
converted) to the right of the latter linked via brick wall to
further outbuildings at the rear. Large former stableblock (now
partially converted into toilets) to the left gable end, not of
special interest. Main body 2 storeys with former single-storey
stableblock with loft to the right. Three-windowed facade to the
main body; 2-light wooden casements with horizontal single glazing
bars; ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned casement to ground floor of
later extension (similar casement at the rear). Central C18 four-
panel door (with fielded panels at top) within a gabled C20
timber-framed porch. Former stableblock to the right with central
4-pane sash and pitching window to the right gable end. Gable end
and lateral stacks. Interior of main body: open fireplace with
bressumer.
