Cottage in row (mirror image of and one build with No 3, q.v.).
Mid C17-early C18. Limestone rubble formerly painted cream;
stone slate roof; stack with dressed stone quoins (restored C20).
Rectangular plan. C20 flat-roofed extension at rear, not of
special interest. Two storeys and attic with 2-windowed facade
lit by 2 and 3-light flat-chamfered stone-mullioned casements with
horizontal glazing bars, two with early fastenings. String
between floors. Single 2-light slate-hung roof dormer. Central
part-glazed door within a beaded dressed stone surround within an
early C20 segmental-headed porch with fretwork sides supported on
brick side walls. Gable-end stack with flat-chamfered skirting and
moulded capping. Interior not inspected.
