23.1.52 occupied by Miss Worrell)

GV II

Cottage at the right end of row (set down the slope). Possibly
C18 but extensively restored 1955 (plaque dated and initialled
'J.D.F.C. / 1955' above the right-hand window). Limestone rubble
with dressed stone quoins; stone slate roof; C20 stack with
dressed quoins. Rectangular plan. C20 extension to rear, not of
special interest. Single-storey and attic. C20 raking buttress
incorporating a round-headed archway at the front right-hand
corner. Two 2-light stone-mullioned casements to the ground floor
(one C20). Two C20 hipped roof dormers with 3-light steel
casements. Two 2-light stone-mullioned casements to the right
gable end, the ground floor casement is C20. Interior not
inspected. Included mainly for group value.
