Steps and archway. C16 but possible repositioned later. Granite and rubble. A flight of stairs from lowest, front level, rising to first floor level, immediately opposite the east gable of Old Traine (qv); over an opening a large granite lintel in basket-handle form but with central ogee curve. The granite lintel may be derived from the demolished C16 Champernowne House (see also No 1 Church Street).
