Skythorns Farmhouse

II

Farmhouse, late C17, altered. Slobbered rubble with stone slate roof. Two
storeys and 2-unit baffle entry plan. The front is much altered, with the
doorway probably shifted to the left, but retains one 5-light double
chamfered stone mullion window to ground floor right. At the rear (to the
lane) there is one small 2-light chamfered window. Inside there are stop chamfered beams. Large segmental arched fireplace with chamfered surround, containing recesses perhaps for an oven and a cupboard. A triangular headed chamfered doorway also in the room has been moved to the passage between the rooms from the north wall.
