2 semi-detached houses. Circa 1840. Plum brick with lighter red
dressings, low stucco plinth, and slate roof. Designed as a single block
of 2-storeys and cellar, 3 windows wide, facing N, pierced by a wide
carriage entrance in middle with boarded double doors and an eliptical
gauged red brick arch. Ground floor windows under the outer windows of
1st floor, and 2 doorways flank central archway. Recessed sash windows
with 8/8 panes and red flat gauged arches. Round headed doorways each
with red gauged arches in 2 recessed orders, stone step, semi-circular
fanlight, and 4-panel doors, the lower panels flush-beaded, the moulded
upper panel round headed. All jambs and quoins in red brick giving a
striking colour contrast with the plum brick walling.
