2 adjoining houses, and former carriageway now a house. C17 or earlier,
early C18 brick casing, carriageway converted to house late C20. Timber
frame, red brick casing with random blue bricks in Flemish-bond, No. 89
retains some tuck-pointing. Stucco plinth. Steep old red tile roofs. A
long 2-storeys building on the street front, the S part possibly an
extension, and the single-storey former carriageway entrance at N (No.
87) now with former archway infilled with a 6-panels door and small sash
window. Main range 4 windows long plus a recess of header bond brickwork
over doorway to No. 89. W front has plat-band, dentilled and corbelled
brick eaves course, and cambered arches to ground floor windows. Left
hand larger part has sash windows with later sashes of plate glass, and
6-panels door (renewed). Right hand house (No. 89) has a tall narrow
2-light flush casement window with small panes, on each floor. 6-panels
door (bottom 2 flush-beaded: others raised and fielded). End chimneys to
LH house just to rear of ridge, largest at S. S internal gable chimney
to No. 89. Gabled 2-storeys rear wing opposite large chimney. Interior
has open fireplaces and some panelling.
