1777, by William Middleton. Three storeys in painted brick with roof of plain
tiles with interesting grouping of chimneys on skyline. Shaped bracketed
timber modillion eaves cornice. Four windows, painted brick voussoirs to top
floor; to first floor, three canted bays of c1840 with moulded entablatures.
Hung sashes, no glazing bars. Two shop fronts, one modern and one C19 with
modern glazing. Gable end with tumbled brickwork and moulded kneelers. Garden
front to Lairgate of three storeys in red brick with plain tile roof with one
dormer. Wood modillion eaves cornice. Two vase-shaped fluted rainwater heads
and fallpipes. Centre chimney late C18. Four windows, gauged flat arches.
