6/2 Bank Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Probably late C17 to early C18. Sandstone rubble plinth,
timber-framed with brick nogging and weatherboards. Hipped Welsh slate
roof. Sandstone and brick central stack. Rectangular plan aligned north-
west/south-east. One storey and attic. North-east elevation has three
early C20 gabled dormers with 2-light steel glazing bar casements positioned
to centre and left. Ground floor has four windows, three of which are late
C19 casements of two lights. The fourth, to right of porch, has three lights
and is probably early to mid-C19. Roughly central late C20 brick porch with
hipped roof has 2-light contemporary casement and glazed contemporary door to
right-hand return. North-west gable is weatherboarded. Frame has irregular
panels, generally three high from cill to wall-plate. Interior noted as
having timber-framed cross-walls and chamfered ceiling beams.
