The epitaph of Abraham Fleming, Rector of St Pancras, who died at Bottesford 18th Sept 1607, his true age; about 56. Body, spirit broken, what more fitting dark slot! The supreme deity ordains that the nerves be eaten away. And the earth-made bones rot, the soul divine turns green. You shall unite in life Oh God, in eternity, me and mine. (Photo Jul 2007).
