Monument To Roger 5th Earl Of Rutland d. Jun 1612 And Countess Elizabeth d. Aug 1612, (daughter of Sir Philip Sidney and stepdaughter of Robert Devereux, 2nd Earl of Essex). The Sydney heraldic device, the phaeon (arrowhead) many years later was applied to convicts clothing, to mark whose custody they were under. Monument by Nicholas Johansson. (Photo Jul 2007).
