House. Early C19 with mid C19 addition. Red brick; plain tile roof; brick integral end stacks and brick ridge stack.
Two storeys with first floor band to the left and central bays; three windows, casements with wedge lintels and raised keys; six-panelled door to left of centre (centre of original house) the upper two panels glazed, wooden doorcase with pilasters and flat hood; vertical joint between right hand and central bays.
Rose Cottage began life as a two bay house and was later extended by a further bay to the west. Occupies a key position in the town centre.
