Farmhouse, late C16 with major mid C19 remodelling. 2 storeys and attics.
Originally of 2-cell lobby-entrance plan; a rear 2-storey C19 range forming
double-pile plan, under a lean-to roof. Timber-framed, encased in gault
brick. Plaintiled roof; 2 internal chimneys of C19 red brick. C19 large-
pane sashes; at ground storey a pair of splayed bays with hipped roof. A
C19 gabled entrance porch of gault brick with glazed 4-panelled door. An
unusually long example of the 2-cell plan; a large axial chimney was
removed to form an entrance hall in C19. Heavy ogee-moulded bridging beams
supporting 1st floor of both cells, and very closely-spaced studding.
