History

Mid/late C19.

Exterior

House in painted stucco with slate roof and red brick end stacks. Flat eaves. Three-storey 4-window front with stucco angle quoins and ground floor rustication. Six-pane upper windows, twelve-pane first floor windows, slate sills, and ground floor overall flat canopy over alternate doors and canted 4-12-4-pane bay windows, in order WDWD. Main door is broad with overlight and C20 double doors, smaller house door to right with overlight.

Reasons for Listing

Listed as the most prominent house at upper end of Church Street, with little altered late Georgian style front to Queen's Hotel.
