Restored Jacobean fireplace in the Palace Block

Uploader's Comments

The fireplace is part of a restoration of rooms in the Palace which were substantially remodelled for James VI's 'hamecoming' in 1617. This was his only return visit to the 'ancient kingdom' after the 1603 Union of the Crowns.
