Description

Early 19th century; symmetrically planned single storey
and attic villa extended later 19th century with parallel
shorter gabled block to east and low piend-roofed L-plan
extension to north. Rubble-built, with painted ashlar
margins and pediments in principal west elevation. Doors
in north and south elevations (latter behind L-plan
conservatory) of extensions. West elevation has 3 bays,
2 windows on bowed centre bay, and single-bay, low,
recessed, pedimented flanking wings. 12-pane sashes,
altered in right bay.
Cornice and blocking course, raised at angles. 3 later,
piended, canted dormers. Straight skews, end stacks.
16-pane sashes in wings. Slate roofs throughout. Low,
rubble-built retaining wall has railings removed; hexagonal
panelled and corniced gatepiers.
