Description

In the style of David Hamilton.
Circa 1830. Asymmetrical 2-storey, 3-bay house; additional
2-storey bay recessed at north. Main block L-plan, harled, with
ashlar exposed in 3 recessed bays, protected by verandah with
decorative cast-iron stanchions; door in right bay, 2 casement
windows to left all with moulded reveals. 3 basket-arched 1st
floor windows with moulded reveals and eaves course raised over
windows, with finials (2 broken). Advanced bay at right with
canted ground floor window and hood-moulded bipartite above.
Paired gable-head corniced stacks. Slate roofs. Some extensions
to rear. Square and circular gatepiers with pyramidal and
conical caps respectively.

Similar in style to Prior Lodge which is identified as

being by David and James Hamilton (1830)
