Circa 1873. Tiered public fountain in polished white and
red granite.
Quatrefoil basin, on raised plinth with squat angle
columns. 2nd basin supported by solid central column and
4 banded columns with gabled bases and foliated capitals.
Upper small basin sits on banded clustered column.
Inscribed "The people of Largs to John Campbell for 61
years their beloved physician. Born 1791, died 1873."
Situated originally in front of parish church. Re-sited
perhaps when new church built in 1892
