Description

A and W Reid, 1885-6. Classical single storey building of
5 wide bays; outer bays advanced with centres further
advanced, each bay has 3 tall narrow windows. Coursed
rubble to base course; ashlar from cill course upwards;
channelled pilaster strips at angles. Tetrastyle portico
shallow piended slate roof. 3 bay flanks with advanced
centre bay with 3-light windows.
Arch with bellcote at E gable. Linked at rear to modern
extensions by covered walk-way.

1885-6 portion with arch and bellcote only listed.

Bellcote and bell brought from 1801 Academy in Academy

Street (demolished) and re-erected here.
