Early 19th century. 3-storey and basement 5-bay classical corner tenement. Cream sandstone, rusticated at ground, droved to basement and upper floors; polished dressings. Base course; band course above rustication; cill course to 1st floor; cornice and blocking course. Regular fenestration; rectangular sunburst fanlights.
S (PITT STREET) ELEVATION: steps over basement to panelled tenement door at centre; flush-panelled main door to right bay.
W (NEWHAVEN ROAD) ELEVATION: 4-bay; right bays of upper floors with blind windows. Shouldered wallhead stack on raised parapet at centre.
Rubble rear elevation.
Timber sash and case windows; plate glass to basement and ground, 12-pane to 1st floor, 4-pane to 2nd floor. Piended roof, grey slates; coped rendered stacks.
RAILINGS: cast-iron spearhead railings on saddleback ashlar base to steps and basement area.
Part of a continuous terrace with 9-29 Pitt Street (see separate listings). These streets were laid out by Robert Burn in 1808.
