Description

Circa 1820. Pair of 2-storey and basement 3-bay classical terraced houses. Cream ashlar sandstone, rusticated at ground, droved at basement and 1st floor. Base course; band course above rustication; cill course to 1st floor; cornice and blocking course. Deep-set panelled door with rectangular fanlight (radiating glazing to No 114) to left bays. No 114 with irregularly spaced bays.

Gutter recess dividing properties.

2-bay rubble rear elevations; No 112 with advanced bay.

Timber sash and case windows; 12-pane to No 112, 4-pane to No 114. Grey slates; coped ashlar stacks. Ashlar coped mutual skews.

FRONT WALL AN RAILINGS: low rubble wall to front with saddleback ashlar coping; iron railings to No 112.

Statement of Interest

Forms part of a continuous terrace; laid out by Robert Burn in 1808.
