Pair of houses. Late C18/early C19. Red brick in Flemish bond.
Welsh slate roof with eaves band, dentilled gable verge and
central brick ridge stack.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and cellar. 2-window range, on 1st floor
of 8/12-pane full-length sashes with narrow glazing bars,
curved wrought-iron balconies, painted reveals, stepped
rusticated voussoirs and decorative keystones. Similar smaller
4/8 sashes with painted sills on 1st floor, and 8/8 sashes on
ground floor. At each end, porches which have Doric columns,
on deep plinths, and pilasters; inward-curving entablatures;
decorative fanlights; 6-panel doors; and 3 nosed stone steps,
those on right (to No.70) renewed. Painted brick plinth with
cellar grilles below windows.
