Stables and coach house, now garage. c1806-1808 with later
alterations. Possibly by Thomas Billings. Brick with painted
stucco facade and slate roofs.
EXTERIOR: one and a half storeys to outer wings, with single
storey to centre, 3 bays. 2 projecting gabled wings with
decorative barge-boards. First floor band. To upper stage are
round-arched openings, door to left and sash with glazing bars
to right. Entrances to ground floor, coach doors to left, and
4-panel door with overlight to right. Stable between has
elliptically-arched window with glazing bars.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Thomas Billings was responsible for The Park
development in Cheltenham.
The rear of the property (No.4) has been substantially rebuilt
and is not included.
Forms a group with Langton Lodge (qv).
