Milford Cottage
GV II
House. 1789-1806, possibly with earlier origins, with later
additions and alterations. By Thomas Billings. Painted brick
front facade otherwise painted stone with slate roof.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. Central entrance a
6-panel door with overlight in elliptical surround. 8/8 sashes
throughout, those to ground floor have flat brick arches, the
central first-floor window is blind. Return gable to right is
skew.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: it is possible that Billings remodelled and
refronted an earlier stone house. Thomas Billings was
responsible for developing The Park, Cheltenham.
