Row of 3 cottages at right-angles to road. Late C17 to mid C18
with early C19 and late C20 alterations. Coursed rubble with
stone dressings, ashlar copings and gabled pantile roofs with
end brick stacks.
PLAN: 3 separate cottages stepped uphill, all with
double-depth plans.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey; 2-window ranges to top and centre
cottages, roadside cottage of 2 storeys and 2-window range.
No.3 (top cottage) has late C20 paired casements; No.2 (centre
cottage) has edge-moulded architraves with 2-light early C19
casements; No.1 (bottom cottage) has 2-light ovolo-moulded
mullioned windows with casements to ground-floor and
edge-moulded architraves with 2-light early C19 casements to
first floor. Plain hoods over door to Nos 1 and 3, the former
with concrete block jambs; part-glazed, plank doors. No.2 has
plain architrave with flat hood on brackets and door with
rectangular light. Return facade to No.1 facing road has a
2-light ovolo-moulded mullion window to ground floor and a
2-light edge-moulded mullion window to first floor, both with
early C19 casements.
