House. Probable C18 core with c1830 addition. Squared and
coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, copings and slate roofs
with end stone stacks.
PLAN: double-depth plan with earlier rear cottage.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey; 3-window range with lower single-window
range behind. Symmetrical front with central doorway and
shallow-pitched gabled roof. 2-light mullioned windows with
paired small-pane casements except for window above doorway
which is of a single light. Incised panel door in plain
surround.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: the early C19 addition is probably coeval
with the foundation of the Bath to Bristol turnpike in 1832.
