Originally an attached house, now a shop, this building has a late C16/early C17 core with late C18 and late C20 alterations.
MATERIALS: the principal elevation is colourwashed render with an ashlar coping to the south gable, a pantile mansard roof and rubble walling to the rear extension.
PLAN: double-depth plan.
EXTERIOR: the building is of two-storeys plus an attic and comprises a two-window range. It has rendered pilasters and a blind parapet. The ground floor has two recessed, C20, multi-paned glazed doors to the left with a flat hood above and canted late C20 shopfront to the right. The first floor has twelve-pane sashes with horns and there are two C20, plain, rectangular dormers to the attic.
INTERIOR: the ground floor has a framed ceiling of ovolo-moulded, oak beams forming six separate compartments. This property is particularly notable for the rare survival of a fine late C16/early C17 ceiling.
