GV II

House, used as post office 1903-69. C17 with C20 alterations
and extensions. Painted timber framing with painted brick and
rendered infill panels on stone rubble plinth, painted render
imitating timber framing on rear extensions. Tiled roofs.
Brick eaves chimney to rear. L-shaped plan of 2-storey and
attic front range to south and single-storey and attic cross
wing extensions to rear.
EXTERIOR: south front is a 2-bay range of square framing 7
panels high with pair of tension braces at both floors. 2 C20
multi-pane casements at each storey, that to right elaborated
into a bow window. Tiled weather-board over ground-floor
window to right.
West gable end: square framing 7 panels high with pair of
tension braces to each storey, gable-end truss with straight
tie beam, twin collars, and vertical struts. 2-light attic
casement. C20 glazed door at ground floor.
East gable end: as west gable but with ground floor covered
with single-storey hipped tiled extension. Rear: covered by
later single-storey and attic L-shaped rear wing with painted
render imitating timber framing.
