Lamb House
GV II
House in row. c1800. Doulting ashlar stone facade, rendered
sides, Welsh slate mansard roof between coped gables, rendered
end chimney stacks.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attics, 3 bays. Plinth, deep cornice,
plain parapet with moulded coping. Ground floor bay 1 has a
flat-roofed 32-pane bow window, with fluted side pilasters and
fascia with cornice; to bay 3 and all first-floor bays are
12-pane sash windows in plain openings. Doorway to centre, up
4 steps, has a 6-panel door with cast-iron rectangular
fanlight with ornamental glazing bars, set in architrave and
with pediment hood on console brackets, above which is a
wrought-iron bracket for former lamp. Flat roofed dormer
windows behind parapet to bays 1 and 3.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
A fine ashlar facade with a notable bow window.
