Farmhouse, now house. Main range probably late C18/early C19
with C18 wing to right at front and probably C17 range to
rear. Reddish-brown brick in English bond, with ashlar
dressings to right range, timber-framing with painted brick
nogging to rear range and plain-tile roofs.
EXTERIOR: main range of 2 storeys with attics and basement to
left, 3 first-floor windows; single-storey, single-bay range
with attic to right and range to rear of this. Main range has
2 steps to central entrance: 6-fielded-panel door with
fanlight with fielded-panel reveals and doorcase with engaged
fluted Doric columns and open pediment on brackets.
Ground floor has 2 3-light wooden mullion-and-transom windows
with metal casements. First floor has central 2-light window
between 3-light casement windows, all under elliptical arches
and with sills. Gabled roof. Attics: 3 roof dormers with
casement windows.
Range to right: stone plinth, quoins and tooled cornice. 6/6
sash; roof dormer with casement window, gabled roof hipped to
front. End left stack and massive stack to right of main range
also relates to right rear timber-framed range.
