Barn. Circa late C17, with later alterations. Timber-framed on stone rubble plinth, and with some brick infilling; partly clad in weatherboards. Steeply-pitched gable-ended roof clad in corrugated-iron sheets.
PLAN: 5-bay barn with opposing cart-entrances to threshing floor in second bay from west end.
EXTERIOR: Weatherboarded south front with cart-entrance towards left [W] end with plank double doors, raised eaves above. East and west gable ends have exposed square-framing with brick infilling and weatherboarding in gables above. The north side also has exposed framing and brick infilling to left and right of cart-entrance [with plank double-doors] towards right end, with weatherboarding above; to left [E] the north wall has been rebuilt in red brick.
INTERIOR: 5-bay frame with large wall-posts supporting tie-beam and queen-strut trusses with staggered trenched purlins and a diagonally-set ridgepiece in the crossed apex of the principals. Common-rafters intact. Wall-framing largely intact, consisting of square panels with high rail. Contains timber trough.
