the building shall be upgraded to Grade II* (star) and the description shall be amended to read as
follows:
House. South-east wing comprises two bays of an aisled timber hall of c1360, north-west wing is
separately framed C15 jettied three-bay solar wing. An early C17 ceiling was inserted to former
hall, the house clad in C18 and refenestrated in the C19 . Timberframed. Front is now plastered,
other elevations red brick, with some visible framing on right return. Tiled roof with late C16
brick stack to solar wing and C19 chimney inserted to right. Two storeys; three windows. Solar
wing to right is gable fronted. Horizontal sliding sashes and C19 casements. Central door under
small hood. Internally, the south east wing has early C17 inserted ceiling to ground floor, with
chamfered spine beam with chamfered floor joists. First floor has crownpost of square section with
down braces to tie beam and braces up to the collar purlin. Passing braces below midrail. Roof
retains original rafters. North west wing has ground floor front room with solid ceiling beams of
square section and similar beams to rear room. First floor principal bedroom has crownpost roof
with one arched brace visible. Original rafters to roof C18 door to former powder closet. Old
floor boards.

C16 timber framed house of 2 storeys, 3 bays, the left being the gabled end of
a cross wing, slightly projecting. High pitched tiled roof with old compound
stack at junction, later chimney inserted at right. Front now plastered, back
has a blank brick skin of early C18 with 1st floor band. Some visible framing
on right return. Horizontal sliding sashes and C19 casements. Central door
under small hood.
