Late C18 or early C19 building. East front of 2 storeys, 4 windows, with lower
ground floor at South end. Very irregular. Red brick with hipped tiled roof.
2 chimneys rebuilt. North bay may be an addition. Some early C19 sash windows
with glazing bars; some modern casements. At south-east end a tiny pointed
window. Modern shop projects to south. West front shows range of gauged brick
arches, some round, some flat, but many have modern windows inserted. Now in
commercial use. Included mainly for association and group value with Browne's
Lodge.
No 20, No 22 (Browne's Lodge) and the Garden Walls to east of No 22 (Browne's Lodge)
form a group.
