Small country house, now flats. Early C19. Coursed squared
gritstone and ashlar, slate roofs. 2-storey, 3 x 1-bay
entrance front faces SW, rear stair wing and service range
(Fearnville House) encloses shallow NW-facing yard.
Entrance facade: central porch with Doric columns supporting
finely-detailed entablature, triglyph frieze, dentilled
cornice, shallow pediment. Flanking and 1st-floor sashes with
glazing bars, large ashlar lintels, recessed panel above
ground-floor windows, 1st-floor sill band; cornice and
blocking course, shallow hipped roof, rendered stacks. Left
return: blind recess to 1st floor; large staircase window with
margin lights, 16-pane sashes, 1st-floor sill band.
INTERIOR: the landing balustrade is visible through the stair
window: probably cast-iron, alternate fluted and moulded
balusters, scroll and wreath decoration, pine-cone finial and
moulded hand rail.
