II
House, C17 or earlier origins, rebuilt in C18 and earlier C19,
rubble stone with slate roofs, end stacks and ridge stack to main
range. Two storeys, L-plan. Three window south front with brick
jambs and timber lintels to openings. First floor casement pair
and two triple casements, ground floor casement pair, door, triple
casement and 6-pane window. Wing has 2-window west side with
casement pair and triple casement above, 6-panel door with hood on
brackets and paired 12-pane sashes below. End wall has first floor
C19 sash and ground floor c1840 ashlar canted bay with low slate
roof, plate glass sashes to sides and French window to front.
Interior: ground floor of main range has chamfered and stopped
spine beams in left and centre rooms, timber-frame partition
between. Right room has c1600 or earlier deep chamfered spine beam
and wall beam. Roofs all late C18 or C19.
