Farmhouse, C16 and C18, painted rubble stone main range and timber-
framed cross wing, refronted in brick, stone slate roof with ridge
stack. Side stack to cross wing. Two storeys and attic. Main
range has two hipped dormers with leaded lights and three window
range of casements, triple casements each side, paired casements to
centre and door in open timber porch to left, adjoining cross wing.
Windows have timber lintels. Cross wing has lower roofline and
half-hipped front gable. Two triple casements to ground floor,
triple casement above.
Interior: Cross wing ground floor has large bar-stopped chamfered
beams and two-bay attic roof with centre collar truss and plain
wind brace. Main range has C18 roof structure of seven bays. Said
to have been held by the Pegler family from 1730.
