6/7 The Old Coach House

II

House, formerly kennels, 1872. Coursed squared rubble with slate roof.
Main range is 2 storeyed with an arcade of 6 bays on ground floor, forming
a collonade with the main front wall of the house recessed, and modern.
2 bays filled in. Segmental arches with ashlar voussoirs and keystones.
Cambered stone heads to sash windows above, and to all openings on rear
(sash windows to ground and first floor). Moulded kneelers, coped gables,
and moulded stone gable end stacks. To the left, a single storey range
continues the arcade for a further 5 bays. To the right, a decorative
gable is superimposed against the true gable wall, bearing the date stone,
and there is a single storey lean-to beyond.
