SK 80 NW BARLEYTHORPE MANOR LANE (south side)
6/6 Barleythorpe House

Farmhouse, C18, with later additions forming T-plan, the original part being
the stem, carrying an obscured C18 datestone. Coursed rubble, with gable
built up with brick. Slate roof. Main range probably originally a 3-unit
plan, 2 storeys, with 3 horizontal sliding sash windows to 1st floor, with
chamfered timber lintels, new windows and slate roofed extension to ground
floor. Gable and axial brick stacks. Projecting stuccoed wing to S.E.,
and on N. side a hipped roofed stone wing with large angle quoins and sash
windows.
