House, now partly a shop. C17 or earlier E wing now truncated, W part
early C18 (possibly enclosing older structure) altered in mid C19 to a
shop, plum brick with some blue headers and red dressings, timber frame
of E wing exposed on E and N with red brick infill, steep old red tile
roofs with parapet at S and W end and rear catslide roof over outshut. A
2-storeys irregular, 3-cells, internal chimney plan house facing S with
lower 2-storeys E crosswing. S front has 2 windows to each floor and
door between. Recessed C19 triple sashes with plastered reveals and
segmental arches. 4-panel flush beaded door with rectangular fanlight.
Small 4-light pilastered shop window to left of door. Door in W end to
shop. Blocked 2-light C18 mullion stair window at right in front of
large central chimney. C20 brick facing to gable of crosswing. Shop in
C18 panelled parlour with ovolo and fillet panel moulding, dado and
cornice. Clasped purlin roof to 2-bays crosswing formerly projecting
further to S.
