6/53 Grove Farmhouse

Shown on OS map as The Grove
Farmhouse. Dated 1707, but probably with C17 origins; late C19 alterations.
Sandstone rubble with Welsh slate roof. T-shaped plan with cross-wing at
east end and east porch bearing date, gable-end stacks. Two storeys,
East front: three glazing bar sash windows with brick surrounds, central
gabled porch. Interior: inaccessible but said to retain plank-and-muntin
panelled screen and chamfered ceiling beams (RCHM Vol I, p 190).
