Farmhouse. Before 1849. Possibly by George Webster. Roughcast stone with
rock-faced stone dressings and slate roof. Two storeys, four bays, the 4th bay
breaks forward under gable. Quoins and decorative bargeboards. Windows have
label moulds to rock-faced lintels and casements of 2 or 3 lights, with iron
glazing bars in octagon and square pattern common to the Holker estate; 2nd bay
of 1st floor has window under gablet, with cross casement. Entrance to 2nd bay
has open timber lean-to porch with gablet. Gable-end stack and cross-axial
stack. Right return of 3 bays has projecting gabled bay; re-entrant hipped
porch to entrance.
