Piers 1776 and flight of 9 stone steps, of red sandstone. Plain
monolithic piers with projecting bands and pyramidal caps, inscribed
I.Dutton: S.Welch: Church Wardens: 1776. A flight of 9 stone steps
leads to the gateway. The gate is not of special interest.
