Ellis and Ellis-Pool headstones at approx 13 metres north of doorway of Church of St Erth

2 headstones. Early C19. Left-hand (north) headstone to Thomas Ellis, died 1823
aged 68; Martha his wife, died 1830, aged 78 and Elizabeth Ann, daughter of Hannibal
and Kitty Ellis who died in 1829, aged 10 months. Right-hand headstone to Elizabeth
Ellis-pool, died 1835, aged 16, (presumably a branch of the same Ellis family who
owned The Hayle Brewery). Both headstones are granite monoliths with shaped heads
and incised slate inserts.
