Former toll house, c.1830 possibly by John and Benjamin Green. Snecked
sandstone front with dressed quoins, rubble returns; roof of-large Welsh
slates. Single-storey, 3-bay front-has chamfered plinth. Projecting, central
gabled porch has chamfered jambs, Tudor-arched head, and boarded door behind
low toll gate. Flanking windows have C20 casements in chamfered reveals.
Left return has similar 3-pane window. Corniced external stack rises from
rear wall. Low-pitched, hipped roof has deep eaves on restored beams. Bargeboard
with finial to porch gable. C20 additions to rear not of special interest.
