Entrance gates and screens. Erected 1911 by the Gurney family, then in
possession of Henlow Grange. Stone coped red brick piers and low walls with
chequerwork patterning in flared headers. Wrought iron gates and railings.
Approximately 4 metres at highest point. Piers surmounted by variety of
stone urns. Mostly plain railings, except for several narrow ornamental
panels to longer stretches. Wrought iron gates have decorative side panels
and cresting, the crest design incorporating the letter G and date MCMXI.
Double gates, fairly simple, with arrowhead dograil to base and ornamental
horizontal band. Included for group value with house.
