Stableblock, now converted to domestic accommodation. Late C17 origin,
reworked mid C18 and extended C19. Mainly red brick, with flared headers to
C18 part, and retaining some exposed timber framing to rear elevation.
Half-hipped clay tile roofs. Consists of long rectangular block, projecting
NE from the house, the C19 part to NE slightly lower. One storey and attics.
Variety of casement windows, some with glazing bars, and some, to timber
framed part, with leaded lights. irregularly spaced dormer windows, mostly
hipped. Earlier part has central timber clock tower, with rectangular base
surmounted by hexagonal cupola with leaded bell-shaped dome. In line with
this to rear elevation is 5-panel door in moulded surround. Variety of
chimney stacks, including substantial ridge stack to earlier block. At NH
end is Doric style timber portico looking NE.
