House, c.1830, Sandstone ashlar with string course and moulded cornice. Hipped
slate roof has parapet; brick- internal stacks. Double-pile plan, 2 storeys; 3 by
3 bays. Symmetrical front has open-fronted porch of piers with moulded sunk
panels, entablature and moulded cornice. 6-panelled door has moulded wood
surround of moulded sunk-panelled pilaster strips and consoles, and side lights
with horizontal glazing bars. Sashes. Lower service wing set back on left has
imitation ashlar blank wall. Right return side has blind central bar Lower
one-Day range on right. Interior: L-shaped entrance hall has moulded arch with
reeded pilasters to staircase hall. Dog-leg staircase to left has stick-
balusters and wreathed handrail. First floor has a similar arch and shall glazed
dome. Moulded modillion cornices throughout. 6-panelled doors, with reeded or
panelled architraves throughout. Room to left has staple marble fireplaces
