House, later C17, possibly built as an inn. Whitewashed rubble with stone slate
roof. Deep block with M-shaped roof, perhaps indicating an early addition at the
back. Main facade of 2 storeys divided by a continuous moulded dripstone. To the
ground floor 2 double chamfered mullion windows formerly of 4 lights but now with
central mullion only and one double chamfered mullion window formerly of 2 lights
lacking mullion. To first floor 2 double chamfered mullion windows without mullions,
that to left of 3 lights formerly. Two chimneys. At rear a former 2-light double
chamfered mullion window to first floor lacking mullion.
Inside heavy beams and joists. In room at south end, C18 fireplace with Doric
pilasters and entablature. In small addition at north end a small chamfered
fireplace, and recess said to have been a proving cupboard.
