Large house of 1678. Slobbered rubble with stone slate roof. Deep single block.
Tall facade appears to be of 3 storeys with 3 gabled bays, but the top storey windows
are blind and the rainwater is discharged through 3 stone spouts at their feet.
Quoins. Double chamfered mullion windows. Those to ground floor are of 6 lights
(with king mullion) and 5 lights. Those to first floor are of 4, 3, and 4 lights.
The attic windows are all of 3 lights on the Venetian pattern. All these windows have
a cyma moulding as dripstone, including the attic windows over which the mouldings are
stepped. Only the left hand and centre windows of the first floor retain small square
panes. Doorway of painted stone with depressed ogee head carrying raised inscription
"IBD 1678". Two chimneys. Right hand gable has 2 small blocked chamfered openings.
Left hand gable end has 2 round-headed openings with cavetto dripstones. Rear has
double chamfered mullion windows to both floors with dripstones. Those to the ground
floor are of 4, 2, 3 and 3 lights (the last lacks a mullion). Those to the first
floor are of 3, 2, and 3 lights.
